Thinking that the temp in the brooder needs to be adjusted as my chicks age, I am wondering how old my chicks are. I picked up 2 Ameraucanas, 1 Sussex, 1 White Orpington, 1 New Hampshire Red, and 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte. Here are a few pictures. They were all labeled as pullets.

They're a couple of weeks old.. temp should be around 90 degrees after 3 weeks reduce the temp by 5 degrees until ready for the coop.

The amount of wing feathering coupled with no shoulder feathering puts them at a week to 10 days. That said, rather than thinking of it from wks=degrees just follow their behavior and adjust the heart accordingly keeping it as cool as they are comfortable with.

From what I had seen so far I was thinking 1-2 weeks, but we are new to this and I figured I would ask first. Thanks for all of the feedback.
