How old are these babies?

I found two babies the other day and I was wondering how old are they when they open their eyes?

After about five days, the eyes of the squab open up. The baby will now begin to stand up and move around the nest. It will cry for its parents to feed it. The parents will eat their food and drink water. Then they spit up or regurgitate pigeon milk for the baby squab to eat. They pour this pigeon milk into the baby's mouth.
At about six or seven days old, the baby pigeon is banded. A small solid ring is slipped over the pigeon's toes so it rests on its leg. The band will not be able to slide off after the bird grows.

I found them three days ago in the nest. Looks like a rat killed one of the parents, so now I'm feeding them. Eyes just opened today and they are more active now. Thanks for your reply and the link.

I have had one parent raise two squabs before after a hawk attack. The male was the one who was the single parent. I did hand feed them some but I do not know if it was really necessary.I am thinking now that it probably was not.

They were very cold when I found them, so I don't think that would have worked.

Thanks for the link. Does anyone know how many grams a day they should gain?

they should double in size every day. a good food for them is the kay-tee exact formula, usually sold for hand feeding baby parots,but works for all birds, and works the same for requirements of pigeons and doves. or you can get chick feed or laying pellets if cant find pigeon or parrot pellets, and blend up into liquid and then sludge ect.. good luck, and dont worry ive just used ringnecks as fosters as the white ones so dumb but loving theyll care for eggs and babies of any type or age anytime put into nest. or just have heat pad in ten gallon aquarium and feed with corner of plastic bag cupped in one hand so they can just get head into feed works good too.

When my birds were about a week old I would only hand feed them twice a day. Mourning & evening. I would stop feeding when it looked like their crops were about to explode.
