How old are they when they stop laying?

My hens are reaching that two year mark this spring almost all of them are laying everyday but they're eating a ton, especially after their molt. I'll probably get a batch of chicks this spring to replace them.

I HAVE a retirement coop! Our chickens stay with us through their senior years until they "fall asleep" as we like to call it.

I have several four-yr-old hens still laying regularly, some almost three years, some two years. My original girls, the ones who are left (internal laying in most of the hatchery girls), will stay forever, no matter how many eggs they lay. No reason to think they won't lay for years to come, though on a reduced basis.
