How old before i can give scraps?

I have 6 chicks which are just over 6 weeks old and i have 7 chicks who are about 5-6 weeks old. What do you suggest would be a good time to start giving them scraps, etc...?

As long as your chicks have access to grit of some kind, they can have anything an older chicken can have.

Just be careful with quantity. My girls were eating so much scrap food and net eating layer pellets that they stopped laying! Two days without scraps and they are back on track. Now I only give limited table scraps

Anytime would be fine, but obviously it would be good to keep an eye on quantity of scraps (as David stated before). Also watch how big the size of the scraps you feed are, otherwise they will be too big for the chicks and will get wasted.
