My girls, Buff Orpingtons and Speckled Sussex, started laying at 20 and 21 weeks. I have one Buff still holding out and taking her sweet time still at 24weeks.

The average for a pullet to start laying is about 22 to 24 weeks.

What breed or breeds are your pullets?

We have road island reds, anconas, bantams and some random white and grey, yellow and black chickens.. they are unknown to us because we got them from someone else. We also had a deformed chicken, he was deformed in the leg but he passed away. in total we have 9 now

Different breeds start laying at different ages. You might get lucky and have a pullet start laying at 18 or 19 weeks.
