How old do roosters start crowing?

i have a buff roo that is 22 weeks old i guess he just has nothing to say, i also have a brown leggern hen who tries to crow every time the boys do .but she has no voice , anyone know of anything i can do for her , she wants to talk but cant make a sound any old folk remidies,

my EE roo started crowing at 18 weeks .... by 19 weeks he was in the gumbo pot

I have a lot of banty's and at least 5 roos. One crowed at 3 wks. One crowed last week which was about 6 months and 2 started this week. The 5th one still doesn't make noise.

i'm curious as well on this....
My Buff Orpington roo is 14weeks TODAY! and we haven't heard anything from him. if he's messing around with the ladies or something he does make a noise like the girls but you can sort of tell he's different than them. DH and I try to make noises for him to show him what to do..... still nothing.......

I really want to hear him!
