How old do welsh harlequins need to be to lay?

Anyone have any welsh harlequins from meter farms that stared laying? If so how old were they? Thanks!

We got ours on March 3 this year and they started about 1 month ago.

Mine were hatched and raised by a breeder and they started laying around 4 1/2- 5 months old

I'm assuming you meant METZER farms?

My first Welsh Harlequin laid at 171 days and my second laid at 181 days.

Domestic mallard-derived ducks (harlequins, campbells, runners, etc.--all domestic breeds except muscovies are mallard-derived) will generally start laying between four and five months. Some will wait until the following Spring if they happen to mature in the Fall. The egg-laying breeds will tend to go ahead and start laying. I've heard great things about harlequins and I hope you enjoy them!
