how old is my chicken?

my chicken that i rescued has a fully grown red comb,shes full size and she still lays eggs and i was wondering if anyone would know roughly how old she would be?

Hello and welcome to BYC

If she's laying she'll be at least 5 months old. It's hard to tell the age with mature chickens, but what you can do is look at their feet. If the scales are small, smooth even and flat, she's young still.

my husband saved this pair of chickens from being eaten by a pit bull in the city....does anyone know what breed they are or how old they look? we've had them for only two days.
