Hi! I am new here and after MUCH research have decided on ducks for my girls over chickens. I have an 8x14" dog run separate from my main yard that I will be using once they are old enough to be outside. I have been reading that the younger the duckling the better bonding with humans. A local feed store has some Pekin ducklings and they are 2 weeks old. Is that too old for a good bond with my girls? I kind of think it may be good thing that they are a bit "older" being a bit larger and stronger being able to handle a bit more handling from the girls which may help with better bonding? Oh I also wonder if I should get one too. I see they are very social and some recommend a min of 3 ducks. Do I have enough room for 3? I don't want to have just enough room I want them to have more than enough. They will have access to my larger fenced yard for playtime and only be in the 8'x14" when I am not home and at night. I am so excited to get going on this! Thanks and I am sure I will have many more questions.
