how quickly they grow

    The chicks at two weeks and then two Silver Wyandottes at six weeks. They all fall asleep on my lap and are well on their way to becoming pets as well as future brown egg layers. So far so good![​IMG]

    Look what appeared in the woods - it's a Chukar Partridge which stayed around for food and water a few days before finding another place to live. It must have escaped from someone who bought a chick from the feed store. It is absolutely beautiful! (He/she was standing on one leg, but does have two legs.)

  2. They DO grow fast. I guess that is why we need to enjoy their 'chick hood' while it lasts. Your birds are very pretty BTW.

    Its so easy for them to be pets. Mine have always been pets, but, like you are seeing, they do get very tame!! Enjoy!
