I am always surprised at the number of people on when I get up at 2 am.

I lived in Victorville and George AFB for years in the 80's. The only reason anyone would go to Apple Valley was to go see the Roy Rogers/Dale Evans museum and take the back way to Big Bear.

Adelanto had the best pizza/Thai food place where I was introduced to Hawaiian pizza with cashews! Yum!

We had to drive to San Bernardino to go to a mall. There was a Mongomery Ward catalog store in town. And a small JC Penney.

Apple Valley is much more than it used to be. We actually have 4 grocery stores, 2 targets, a Wal Mart, and few restaurants and some popular coffee houses. Oh yeah, and about 2578 times the population it was 8 years ago.
