How should I feed my chickens a pumpkin? They are eating the pumpkin!!

OMG MAXX!!!! Those chickens look 200% better than they did the other picture you posted. LOOK at those rosy red combs. That other picture they were pale and sickly. Whatever you did you did good!!!!
 
Mine ate all of my squash and everything else with no help at all

I tried so hard to keep just ONE butternut squash... Had it all covered with snow fence etc.... no use

I'd put it in whole. If they don't peck it take a little piece of the skin/shell off to get them started since it's very hard...
 
I only have 8 chickens so I grew a small to medium size variety of pumpkin. Three plants yielded about 20 pumpkins which have been decorating our front porch. I periodically cut one in half and put it in the run. By the end of the day all that is left is a thin orange rind. Depending on how long they store, I may grow more next year. They also like spaghetti squash.
 
My chickens don't really like pumpkin, so I put it in the blender, and mixed the slop with chicken feed to get them to eat it. If your chickens like pumpkin as is, you can just cut it open and let them pick from it.
