how soon after worming can I eat the eggs?

Okay!!

I think y'all have convinced me! I'll wait the 14 days after treatment, then we'll happily eat the eggs. Thanks so much!

The pour-on that I saw at Tractor Supply comes in humongous containers, with a humongous price tag. Is that what you bought, or did you find a smaller size?

I found a small (8.5 oz.) size Durvet brand ivermectin at our local feed store for around $30. The expiration date on mine is 2012, so that's not too bad for a product that I can use twice a year for over 2 years. Look for a generic brand.

Verm-x is the name of the natural dewormer I couldn't think of earlier. I found the ad in a Backyard Poultry magazine. The site is verm-xusa.com. They have it for all animals, but with chickens you can eat the eggs while deworming. No withdrawl.

Does it work to rid them of worms?
I'd much rather give them something organic if it works!
I do not think my chickens have worms but wanted to give them a 'cleaning' as part of their routine just in case.

How often do you guys worm chickens generally? Do you wait for them to show signs or follow a regular schedule?

What about feeding the eggs back to the chickens? If the concern is that the egg produced will have Wazine in it, then aren't you feeding the Wazine back to the chicken, and continuing the cycle?

I gave the Wazine today. Just to confirm ... in 14 days, am I re-dosing with the Wazine, or giving Ivermectin?

I've done some research on this and found one guy who incubated the eggs laid just after he dewormed his hens. The chicks were severely handicapped and/or died immediately after hatching.
