I have a couple of hens that have been laying for a couple of weeks and their eggs are still small, when will they start laying bigger eggs?

I have SLW, RIR, Black Aussies, Buff Orpingtons andd a white rock.

I have 4 White Leghorns and 2 Barred Rocks and they just started laying small eggs last week. Today I got my first relatively large egg and it was from the Leghorn. Perhaps the breed makes a difference.

we just got ou 1st egg today.

I only have 2 that are laying right now. They are the same age, both just started laying but the black sex link's eggs are double the size of the orpington x...I think I read they probably get bigger but don't know how long that takes...it probably does depend on breed, health, feed, etc...

Hopefully someone with more experience can give a better idea?

Mine have been laying for a week and they are still relatively small. On the third day of laying, I got the biggest. They very next day and everyday since then, it's gone back to small! I think it's going to be some time before they're consistent...

My BO hens started laying 3-4 weeks ago, and they are still laying small eggs in the 1.5 to 1.75 ounce range. Still waiting for a large egg.
