This is my first time incubating, I set 26 eggs and if I was correct on what to look for in candling 23 are developed. I have one chick out now and dry and four others pipping and obviously many more hopefully due. My question is how soon to remove them, should I leave them all until three days?

Don't open the bator if you have other pips!!!!!!! It can dry them out and they get stuck. A chick will be ok in bator for 72 hours so do not worry!

I generally leave healthy, active chicks in the incubator overnight.

Weaker ones, I may leave in there for two days.

I do not remove chicks if any eggs have pipped or zipped, as the sudden drop in humidity may "shrink-wrap" them (dry out the membrane and imprison the chick in the egg); I will wait until those have hatched. I may leave a newly hatched chick in the bator when I take older, dry chicks out.

Hope this helps!
