My new hatchings have started (so far just one) but need to know when I should introduce water/starter feed with new hatchling(s)? [IMG]

    Thanks

As soon as they are very dry you can move them to their new warm box with food and water I usually wait 12 hrs or so to make sure they are completly dry.

I do it right away, they don't need it for a few days, but that way they will find it, and it sure doesn't hurt to have it in there for them. Good luck!

Quote:Well I'd posted earlier about the hatching taking place (day 20) and my challenges with it because I have three eggs in a dome mini bator and for an hour or so after the first one hatched, it was bouncing the eggs around so badly I had to move it ahead of drying schedule to the brooder under the infrared heat lamp to complete the drying process.
I'll consider this pure luck because it's doing great. Just waiting for the other two to hatch so first one will have companions.
So it will be about 1:30 in the morning before the 12 hr strikes! I'll probably be up most the night waiting on the other two anyway! [IMG]
    Thanks, newnanchic!
