How stupid am I?

I use an egg basket now after learning that the pocket of my robe was not the best place for collecting eggs. The dogs were playing and knocked me against the house on the way in. Half a dozen eggs in one big pocket!

this is why I get the eggs last cause that would be me if I put them in my pockets. of course I only have two hens so at most I'll have is 2 eggs

Too funny! Now I KNOW that I'm living dangerously - collecting eggs in my pockets.

At least my cell phone won't be in much danger. Since there's no reception from the barn, I rarely carry when I go out to do chores.

Been there, done that, lol! I have learned since then, to collect eggs last...though that doesn't always help-I had eggs in my pocket (twice now) and went to "push" against the bottom coop door so I could latch it....crunch! Aw, man!

I don't have an actual egg basket right now, but the black rubber bucket that I used to use for the horses works; just put a towel in the bottom for some cushion. My pockets stopped working when I went from getting 4-5 eggs a day, to 15-19 eggs a day!

Uh, not yet. Ever since reading M.G. Kains' book, I've used a small bucket lined with corrugated paper or bubble wrap.
