How successful have you been with treating prolapses?

I've had several hens with vent prolapses. We are adding more calcium and magnesium to their diets in an effort to prevent future problems.

I know how to treat vent prolapse and have researched it thoroughly. I just can't find evidence of whether or not treatment is successful in the long-term.

Is culling at the beginning a better option?

Here in my area everyone Culls sick Chickens..Prolapes is something to Cull..I like my Chickens too but don't mess around with issues...

I have culled mine without treatment thus far because the treatment seems all for naught.

In gereral a sick Chicken is not worth the time trying to keep it alive...Birds show sickness when they actually are ready to die..
