How tall is your bathroom sink?

Kitchen sink is '36.

Why are bathroom sinks so much shorter?

We had our house built and because I'm 5'10" and DH is 6'3" we had our counters installed at 36". It's great!

Here comes the pro answer I have been a kitchen and bath designer for over 20years. The answer is standard 31 new trend past 10 years or so they have been changing over to 36 now you also custom size them to what is comfortable for you. We did ours at 36 for comfort and cost. Hope that helps!

I always thought they were so low so the children could reach it better?

LOL I never looked at it that way. They are that low really because people use to be shorter and we are getting taller

mine are 31 inches. but were just tore apart the main bathroom and is replacing it with one that is 36 inches.

31'... but I have been looking at a new one. I so want a pedestal sink. Someday I will get the rest of the bathroom done

When I did the remodel to the bathroom I set mine at 36" since we are both tall, also raised the kitchen cabinets and sink when I replace them. People were shorter overall when the building standards were made way back when. I was elated when they finally came out with the extend able vacuum wands. Now if they could only make a longer mop handle.
