So one of my chicks is stuck in the membrane of his egg, its tied around his leg. He's been like that fo rover an hour now. What do I do? I have a tiny pair of cosmetic scissors, should i open it quickly and cut him free?

Also another chick has his leg tangled in his yolk/cord, and he is having some troubles walking but not as bad as the other one, since he is free of his leg.

Help!

I wouldn't even call it waiting... Day 24 now officially and still waiting on babies. I would call it TORTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL cluckcluck42 when I found my chick yesterday after she hatched, there was some "egg poop" stuff leftover in the egg and o my butt.

So I guess they do poop even if they haven't eaten anything...except for absorbing the yolk.

I would help out a chick stuck like that. Not everyone does.

If you are concerned about the humidity you can always mist over (not on) your eggs before you shut it back up again.

This is taking a long time for your babies to hatch. Could the temp in your incubator be a little low? That is not as bad as high, but it can cause late hatches, like you are experiencing.
