Really smart!

That rooster in one of the first pictures is a really handsome boy. Is he a silver-gray Dorking?

Our four were securely locked up in the 'coop' section during the storm. Believe me, I was checking on them constantly! - it was just at the end of our driveway & close to the house--I had a large kennel so we could bring them into the house if necessary.

I am amazed how well the tractor came through., even though I know how sturdy it is.

Our old barn lost the majority of its' roof & walls -collapsed on both sides--well, we were talking about tearing it down to the foundation & rebuilding a smaller version this fall anyway, so some of that work just got made easier for us. Sure glad we didn't put the tractor in the barn.

Thank you Chicken Lady! that is our Gumbo, & he is a splash Andalusian--in fact, he won 1st place in the single comb category in the comb contest--you can see a close-up of him there.
His only problem is that he knows how pretty he is!
