How to add new chicks?

 Would you describe your coop/run set up - established flock size and age & if they free range?

  Thanks for the description.  It seems that folks with larger, multiple coops and free ranging space have an easier time than those of us without that "luxury".

That's funny to me, when I first started getting chickens here, my husband said to keep them out in the big shed, I though it was a crazy idea, but it worked out great and has given me lots of room to keep lots of chickens which seems to help prevent a lot of problems.
