How to clean baby chick that has been pooped on!

Greetings all,

I notice this morning that one of my (3 week old) chicks got pooped on! We're not quite sure HOW it happened, though I have noticed the past couple of days some jumping (or flying) on top of the others. More importantly, what is the best way to clean her up? It is still looking a little wet. We have some materials to create a dust bath. Should we set that up, or get a damp rag and try to wipe it off? Or.....?

A damp cloth will work just be gentle so you dont pull out any feathers with it. How bad is it?

Softly, with a warm cloth. She will be fine! just be gentle

Thank you for responding. it is a complete hit and, though runny looking at first, now seems it has kind of dried and spread through some of her feathers. Should I separate herself out while I clean her?

it doesn't matter you can put her in a smaller box so she is easier to ca tch if you have to set her down
