If you do end up clipping wings make sure to just clip one side, if you clip both birds can still adapt to flying with short wings, but they will be disabled and unbalanced if you just clip one.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that if you clip wings it's only once a year. Feathers don't grow like hair so you only have to worry about reclipping when they regrow after a molt.

Also, hatching new ducklings is easily avoided. Don't incubate or let them brood and you won't get any ducklings. It's not like you won't notice.
