How to Darken Egg Yolk Color

Yup, grass, greens, orange or yellow flowers or squash, even roses, rose hips, basically anything a free range hen would eat, corn helps if they're cooped over winter. Beets and beet greens, kale, cabbage, CHARD is wonderful for you and the leftovers for them.

TNT is a company that makes horse feeds and herbivore feeds, and they make a thing called TNT Chops - alfalfa/timothy chopped. Someone on one of my lists mentioned it.

OMG I bought a batch because the rain and freeze has been limiting the amount of grass/greens growth here. Smells WONDERFUL, I just put it in the coop and they go CRAZY. What they don't eat just becomes part of the litter.

I wouldn't do it regularly it would jack my feed budget but now and then, I'm all over it.

It's been a rotten winter and I've supplemented more than I would normally but I've liked the results in yolk color.

Luck
