I recently got a young rooster, for my flock of seven hens....This morning, as I broke the egg, into the frying pan, there was a definite blood spot, with a trail, in one egg.
I have gone to Youtube, to see a video on being able to determine the fertility of an egg, by candling, but what I surmised, is that most of the eggs, which were shown, were already known to be fertile, and simply showed the progress, inside the egg. The earliest, at 3 days.

My question is: is it possible to determine the fertility of an egg, immediately after laying, and if so, where can I find a definitive visual or video, showing it?

Just trying to get my ducks in a row, not counting my chickens, before they hatch.

Sounds like your egg just had a blood spot. What you need to look for is a small circle or "bullseye" on the yoke. Will be a little smaller than a pencil eraser.

At the top of this forum there is a topic that says "important hatching topics, please read" or someting lime that. Click on that and scrolldown to the last post where there is a link that shows pictures and tells you how to judge fertility just after lay.
