How to develop American game bantam

Sorry it took me so long to give an update on the American game bantam project lanky got killed about a month ago so now I’m stuck with silver Phoenix and OEGB to make this work it will probably be next year
can't make American game bantam not using American games. It's quite simple, you can't make something without using the same something I don't see how you don't understand this.

Technically you can breed a bird to their show standard and call it an American game bantam
Also the American game bantam was developed by Frank Gary by breeding a red Jungle fowl hybrid to a pit bantam so it is actually very similar

Ok I may be of some help. First do you have any blue legged pullets from the jungle fowl to OE cross? If so use the pullets instead of the white legged cross stag. Breed them to the Pheonix instead of the oegb hens. Your size will be to large but hatch after July they should come smaller. The biggest hurdle with using OEGB genetics it a short tail gene that many, actually almost all of them carry. The problem lies in the fact that you will not see it until the are 2-3 years old or older. But by breeding the jungle fowl cross pullets to the Pheonix you should be able to stay away from most of that. Group breed the Pheonix with all of the blue legged pullets. If you breed from the JF X OEGB toe punch them really well because he probably will produce blue legged pullets. Select for type and as small earlobes and as little white/blue as possible.

Here’s one of lanky’s son he is 1/4 OEGB 3/4 RJF if I keep him which I think I will.
I’ll use him both with the American Game bantam and with my free range project.
