how to do reception for courthouse wedding?

We had friends who had a potluck dinner reception. It worked for them.
You can also put some of the friends asking for the reception in charge (give a budget or make that part clear).
Easy is the best way to go in my opinion.

I'm getting married next month. We didn't want to do the courthouse thing (been there, done that). We rented a room at a fabulous mountaintop inn instead. It has a sitting room w/a fireplace and the justice of the peace is going to marry us there in front of the fireplace.
How 'bout a barbeque for your reception. Do it whenever you are ready to.
