How to dress up like a Geek

So a friend of mine on Facebook created an event, Nerd/Geek/Dork day

Basically you dress up as a nerd, geek, or dork and take a picture of yourself and post it. And then everyone can vote on who looks the best dressed up

I have no clue where to go with this. Any ideas on dressing up like a Nerd, Geek, or dork? Should I wear a Skirt, Dress, or Pants? I also need ideas for my mom because she is going to do it as well. Any help would be great. I know, I know it's pretty stupid to be so worried about somthing like this

Big glasses, button down shirt with too short sleeves, and bow tie, pants/slacks with cuffs - works for either male or female geeks. No make up if you are female.

No makeup, big glasses, plaid shirt or similiar buttoned ALL the way up, pocket protecter with pens is a plus. Shirt must be tucked into pants that are pulled up way too high. And if you can master the nerd grin, then you've got it!

Okay.....
So I need big glasses
No make up
Tall socks. I have tall socks that I wear when is gets really cold.I have dark blue, grey, and white. Which color would be best?
Skirt or Jeans? What style of skirt would be best? I have skinny jeans that I could wear also.
How should I wear my hair? Does that really matter???

I pretty much dress like a geek to begin with, never worn makeup in my life. Let's see... I don't wear tall socks, but I reckon having white ones with grey shorts would be hilarious.

Hair: Low ponytail. Most of these nerds can't be bothered spending more time on their hair. The dorkiest of the dorky here only ever wear low ponytails.

(And PS, I just want to add that I think this event is a great idea. People don't bother enough about geeks these days, they dismiss them as boring people who never have fun. )
