How to edit THREAD TITLE?

Can anyone help me with this please? It might be a dumb question, but I'm not sure how to do it!

On the Old BYC it could be done.

On this format, it cannot.

You can edit the title of your own thread. When your thread is open, near the top of the page, just below the thread title, there is an "edit thread" option. This allows the thread title to be edited. I guess Mahonri hadn't found this!

hmmmm, I sure can't figure out how to do it. I know I edited the thread title a month ago, but now I can't find and "edit" option even when I have the thread open.

Ah, if you edited the same thread title a month ago, it is probably because there is a time limit on editing threads and posts. See here:

Thanks clockwatcher, that was the information I needed. I wanted to edit my thread's title to reflect that it was complete with pics....trying to generate more traffic, lol. I sent Nifty-Chicken a pm.

When you see the listing of threads, you can also double click on the space to the right of the thread title and a box will come up to change the title. But if the edit time is up, then we would need to do it for you.

If anyone is viewing this in 2018, you must have a membership to change the title of your thread.

You can also "report" it and a moderator will come by and make changes.

To clarify:

All standard members have 24 hours to edit their own posts and titles.

Premium Feather Members can edit their own posts and titles for 180 days.
