How to evaluate quality of lacing?

I have some young birds and lots of questions about how to evaluate them. I bought a batch of sebrights and a batch of silver laced polish at the same time, they're all 2 months old now. The polish's markings don't look much like the sebrights. Is this a difference in maturation between the breeds or different faults? Or what?

For one, my sebrights are *very* dark. Many of them have completely black breasts and backs. Is this a normal baby feather thing? Or will they always be this dark? Just not sure which to keep and which to sell.

Here are pictures of my darkest sebright. Fairly certain it's a rooster.

Here's a lighter one for comparison

And a picture of the whole group. Should I start over with new ones? Not sure if these are normal or not, and if not are they something that can be worked with?

Hi! There is nothing wrong with your babies feathering at this point they are just very young. You will not be able to evaluate them for feather lacing until the adult feathers come in, around four to five months usually. So for now, check combs and that's about it, feed them well and wait :)
The lighter one is a silver, not a golden sebright.
