Hi Friends,
still a newbie, i did some preparation for the winter, bought some straw-bales, a bag of my Duckies favorite Meatbird-Crumbles and a bag of Cracked-Corn.

Back home, i poured some of the cracked corn into a bowl with water and opened the gate of the duck-porch. Enthusiastically they all came running towards the bowl, looked at the content then looked at me as if they want to say »you are not expecting us to eat THAT?«.
Added a handful of meal-worms, harvested another set of looks like »you dumb human think we're stupid?« If looks were deadly, i wouldn't be able to write this today…

My duckies love to eat corn out of a tin, had a hard time to prevent them from eating the tin itself and my fingers. But cracked corn - a no-no!
How's your experience?
Hints? Tricks? Tips?
I am flattened! Thought i have something tasty for my duckies and feel like the black sheep now...

Ducks are finicky with change even with new food. I would leave some in a dish with no water added and some on the ground. I threw mine some whole corn and they ate it up.

I understand that cracked corn has no nutritional value - true? I feed whole corn, but only in the winter or when it is colder (Florida isn't cold that often....)
