How to feed oyster shell?

Do you mix it into their regular food, or have it in a separate feeder?
 
It's usually best to feed it in a separate feeder. That way, those hens (the ones actively laying eggs) can eat what they want and everyone else can pretty much leave it alone. This includes chicks, roosters, sick hens, molting hens or elderly hens.

I put it in a small container so they can peck at the granules, if I have powder left in the container, I mix it with the feed.
