How to find lost chick

Wehad a chick hatch a few days ago but i has gone imssing this morning. We have a rooster so it is unlikely that anything could have taken it.

How would i find it?What should i do?

wierd! Check everything. Is it under a hen?

Use a chick magnet? ...ok..sorry. I don't know....maybe put out some food in additional places? Do you hear it peeping anywhere? Have you tried peeping and listened for a response? And don't under estimate predators... Even with a roo, a snake could slide in and get one if he weren't paying Ttention to sound the alarm.

I've checked, and no. SAnother HEN went missing anout half an hour ago :S Hoping she's looking for the chick..

We had a hen and rooster in an enclosed cage ut unfortunately they bullied one of our winter chicks out of it so our teenage hen is free range. The chick was in the enclosed pen though before it went missing :S

hmm, I don't know. Maybe a snake or a hawk.

if it got out then it might be a hawk :S but i doubt if it was a snake as we live in England...only ever seen a slow worm in my life
