How to fix a styro-foam incubator????

I think i am going to try what Shellyd said and try to stuff & tape the dips in the lip of the bottom. i might also tape the messed up side to the top, like a hinge.

my LG has alwasy been SO good on holding humidity, this hovabator is TERRIBLE though, temp spikes more often and humidity leaking (before the ducks got to it!)

Both of the incubators are going to be in the basement this time around though, completely steady temps and humidity will hopefully be better with the HB this time.

I'm filling the LG with BBS Turken eggs & the HB with my own & some EE eggs from a friend.

Thanks everyone, i will let you all know how it manages after i fix it!


PS: I tried some of the softer foam spray...it totally sucks, i can wipe it right off.

the spray foam i use here takes about 12 hours to harden up and and another good glue to use is the polyurethane glue like gorilla glue or i use elmers ultimate glue works great and super strong

I think i will try that after this hatch. i dont wanna pay $30 for a new one!!

i patched it with styro foam and taped it up...it fits more snuggly now so maybe it will hold the temps & humidity better?

im keeping my fingers crossed
