What is the best way to determine what interest there is in a community for certain breeds/varieties/species etc?
I would like to determine the demand for certain breeds of chickens, species of poultry or varieties of breeds/species in my community.
Leave your input below, and thank you for viewing.

If you have any local FB groups, or BYC threads follow those to see what people are ISO and what others are already selling. You could also check local classifieds for the same info! It's kind of interesting to watch what breeds sell and how fast they sell or if there is no interest at all.

'Rich' is so subjective!! If it ENriches your life to study breeds and hatch, raise and sell your chicks/hens/roosters/eggs then consider yourself en-riched. If you can raise at least the money to cover your feed and maintenance of your coop etc. then so much the better!
I consider that fact that I am very, very happy learning and raising and selling my chickens and their eggs to be 'riches' enough.
@Cyprus, please post when you decide how best to reach out to your community and what your results are!
