How to get a chicken to be nice

I have this polish hen and she's smaller then all of the other chickens. I have two cats a couple months. More than I've had the hen. But recently the hen has been pecking the cats. It's only been a few pecks now but I don't want my cats to be scared to come back from outside of the chicken scares them. How do i get the chicken to stop pecking the cats

No the chickens are outside and the cats go outside through the dog door and the chicken runs after and pecks them.

I don't want them near it but it just depends where the cat is. The chicken will run after the cats

Do you only have one chicken? She might just be showing her dominance over what she sees as her "flock".

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it my killer who I have had since 2007 is deathly afraid of the chicken I like it better that way. I don't want him viewing them as prey.

I've seen my beast bring home bunnies that weigh more than my chicken, and am happy they scare him.
