Hi, I was recently given 3 newly hatched quail
2 have already died because I do not have an adequate heat source, I don't wanna hear anything about it as it's not my fault
However, I would like the one left to stay alive, and I think this would be nicely done by being with an adult quail. I just don't really know how to approach it. Any advice is appreciated. Please and thank you.

You can't just make a bird bond with a chick. They need to have been broody (rarely, rarely, rarely there are exceptions, but it's almost certain that the bird in question isn't t one) to have the possibility of taking in the chick. The chick also needs to accept the broody, which generally doesn't happen if they're older than a few days

You will have the best luck with an old hen, but as others have said, you can't force the bond. If you do put the chicks in with an old hen, make sure to watch them carefully to make sure the adult doesn't peck at and kill the chicks.
