how to get chicken warm?

I guess I should explain that I came to this analogy when people would ask how a hen could lay an egg without a rooster present.
So, a female of any species will release an ova on the timing of her cycle without the need to be fertilized.
That was my reason for the comparison.
That is a more accurate explanation.
Ovaries between the species much more similar than the uterus.

I apologize for that prior statement. I would never eat my pets! Maybe their eggs, but not my hens!:bow:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy
I don't remember eating one of my hens yet (other than meat birds) but that's the reason they don't get names. They have numbers.
I have eaten hundreds of cockerels though. Mine are livestock. The eggs are great but so is the meat.

You would say that birds don't technically menstruate. I guess because there isn't release of blood but the process is the release of an ova from the ovary. The only mammals that lay eggs are echidna and platypus. So I guess even though they are mammals they don't technically menstruate because after they release the ova, it gets encased in albumen, membranes and shells. Just like a bird does.
Blood isn't released because the ova is encased in a shell. But it is still timed with release of ova.
TMI, for SURE!
Not really, it's all chalked up to "Learning," but Whew!!!!!

OK, I'll say it: " How to keep a chicken warm" Well, pre-heat oven to 325 degrees F. prepare potatoes, and salad......... I'm bad:oops:
Ummm - nope. If ya just wanna keep her warm, you'll need to shove the temp down to about 200. If you don't, she'll dry out while the taters are cookin'!

... and BTW, I can't eat my girls, either. I can't even eat my fellers ... which is why my bachelor flock is the biggest one on the place!
