Hi all a friend just got some seb geese and is trying to get them to lay in a nest box to keep them from walking on them. I advised him to put the eggs in the box. Any other advise. If they are free range, geese are very adept had hiding (and burying) their eggs. Everything I have read says find where the geese are laying their eggs, then build the nest box around that with minimal disturbance. The goose will choose the spot, not you.

I'm currently getting about 5 eggs a day out of 10-12 geese (Pilgrims, Embdens, Tufted Romans and some inadvertant PilgrimxRoman). What amazes me more is I'm getting 3 ducks eggs a day out of 4 hens. The Appleyards are amazing layers.
