Good idea..I have a good local grain storeIf you’re comfortable with terminating his life, you could reach out to people in your area with hunting/butchering experience, or a farmer that does their own chickens... they may be able to help you dispatch him. Ask around at your local feed store?
Great reply!About a year ago, I was in a similar situation. I had a beautiful rooster named peep, but unfortunately he was really aggressive. We tried to give him away with no avail. Finally, we made the super tough decision to butcher him ourselves. It was heartbreaking, but I thought it was better than him going into a cockfight, or being killed inhumanly. We ended up using an old feed bag with a corner cut off, and we turned peep upside down. He fought for a second, but then the blood went to his head and he went unconscious. We put him in the bag, and someone held the bag while someone else cut off his head with some loping shears. It was quick, and painless, and it went relatively smooth. I don’t remember who recommended this to me, but it worked pretty well. This is a good method for anyone with an unsteady hand. Fortunately, it’s not easy to miss your target, and if you are using clean, sharp shears, it is painless on the bird.
I hope this helps a bit! I know it’s super hard! I hate hurting animals as well, but sometimes it’s the most humane thing to do.
