How to get rid of a mean drake?

If you’re comfortable with terminating his life, you could reach out to people in your area with hunting/butchering experience, or a farmer that does their own chickens... they may be able to help you dispatch him. Ask around at your local feed store?
Good idea..I have a good local grain store

About a year ago, I was in a similar situation. I had a beautiful rooster named peep, but unfortunately he was really aggressive. We tried to give him away with no avail. Finally, we made the super tough decision to butcher him ourselves. It was heartbreaking, but I thought it was better than him going into a cockfight, or being killed inhumanly. We ended up using an old feed bag with a corner cut off, and we turned peep upside down. He fought for a second, but then the blood went to his head and he went unconscious. We put him in the bag, and someone held the bag while someone else cut off his head with some loping shears. It was quick, and painless, and it went relatively smooth. I don’t remember who recommended this to me, but it worked pretty well. This is a good method for anyone with an unsteady hand. Fortunately, it’s not easy to miss your target, and if you are using clean, sharp shears, it is painless on the bird.
I hope this helps a bit! I know it’s super hard! I hate hurting animals as well, but sometimes it’s the most humane thing to do.

Thank you for sharing this story. I think this will be very hard, perhaps only way to go.

You have had him for 3 years surely something has you keeping him around. Is he just more aggressive than you're used to or just comparing to your other drakes? Maybe they are just a bit more calm.

Craigslist won't do it. Facebook is the faster and best way to relocate your ducks if you want. Have you tried just drake jailing him? That's what I am currently doing with my one, sucks for him but I made a commitment to them and it's better than any alternative

I have to agree loppers are by far the easiest method for me... key is very sharp and get the big ones, and you will most likely want to tack up a garbage bag behind where you hang him up for ease of cleanup/ no stains to remind you later of it.

I think a drake jail is a temporary fix... but correct me if I’m confused. If this is ongoing and consistent, not just a hormone spike (and after three years that’s what I’m thinking is the situation), then a permanent solution may be necessary. I’m looking at a Rooster right now I hatched and Love, but I hate trying to deal with, I’m hoping it’s just a teenage thing, but if the attitude and behaviors persist into next year... he will have to go. There are only so many accommodations you can make for them. :(
