how to get rid of fleas naturally??

The best thing that I have found to kill fleas instantly on a dog is Dawn Dishwashing liquid....I used it on some Great Pyrenees puppies that we purchased...they were covered in fleas....they are solid white dogs, I left it on them for like 5-10 minutes and everyone that I found on them after I bathed them in this were dead....I haven't tried it but I heard that regular table salt rubbed into the carpets dehydrates the flea eggs and they won't hatch....I think you have to leave it on carpets for 24 hours and then vacuum...vacumm everyday until they are gone and dump bag or canister outside away from house...so that they don't get out back inside of your house.....hope this helps

Thanks KandiandJerry! We did use the dawn and it worked! Who Knew!!

I use dawn dish soap on all my dogs. I use about 1-2 tbls of minced garlic and either scrambled eggs or raw eggs.. Which ever you perfer. I use scrambled. dawn dishsoap works for just about everything I love it

I even shampoo my carpets with it lol garlic gets in the blood stream and fleas hate it. It kills them dead. Scrambled eggs or raw eggs 1-2 depending on the size of the dog helps with coat health. Healthy coats shiny coats. Its just all around good for your dogs!

Good luck.(BTW ticks hate garlic as well! )

You guys want to know a natural way of getting rid of fleas. I think you should get a monkey and I am not kidding. Monkeys love eating fleas and you can often see them checking for fleas while grooming one another. Check this to get an idea about what I am saying

I had to laugh, too! Some years ago, we somehow got a lot of flies in the house (probably from a hole the cats made in a screen). I put up a fly strip, and apparently DD's cat was fascinated by it. In the wee hours of the morning, her cat was racing around the house. I went to check on her to see why she was running like her tail was on fire, and she was wrapped up in the fly strip!

I used cooking oil and got it off of her, but then had an oily cat. So I did what any sensible person would do, I woke DD up and told her that her cat needed a bath.

On the other hand, oil on a cat does 2 important things:

1. It allows you to get meds into them if you can mix them with the oil.
2. If they're being bad, you can butter the cat: it distracts them and they forget what they were doing that drove you wild.

Of course, you may end up with butter on the couch.
