How to get rid of the chicken smell

Thank all of you, I will try everything and see what happens. I have four girls but I have 7 chickies also (not sure yet what sex they r) Thank you all being new I have been learning a lot from everyone.

Some people have a really sensitive sense of smell and some people don't. I wonder if you and your husband are a "mixed marriage" in that department? Is there anyone you can trust to give you an independent, honest and discreet opinion on the odor issue? That might not be a bad idea.

Sometimes chicken runs can smell if they are bare dirt and they are wet. Using a layer of sand on top to improve drainage usually helps with that.

Coops can start to smell, especially of ammonia, if they don't have enough absorbent litter in them. Regularly adding a little fresh litter to a deep litter coop, cleaning a coop or taking care of any leaking water usually takes care of any coop odors.
