    Just a theoretical question...

If you were to advise a newcomer into getting into chickens, what would you tell them?

How many to get, where to get them?

Where to house them, how much space to have? Different pens, etc.

Basically describe the perfect set up for your perfect flock and how to get there.

Thanks for the replies, however they did not answer the theoretical question.
