How to handle big temp drops in summer

I leave the pop up door open, and let them decide if they want to go out or not. They know more about it than I do. Do have a wind shelter in the run, often times that helps them go out.

At what temps should I not allow them to even go outside? I will have the whole run along with the coop, blocked from wind and hopefully snow.

Most days I leave the pop door open, there are some where I know they won't go out and so leave it closed, but my run is not protected from most of the wind and snow...that's why it's important to have a coop large enough for them to stay inside for days at a time without 'cabin fever' setting in.
Make sure you're run roof is strong enough to handle the snow loads.

Heat can be is worse than cold, IMO.
Deep all day shade is best, I don't have that either so rely on shade cloths, huge all day ice chunks, a fan to help cool the coop late in day, and occasional doses of Sav-A-Chick electrolytes/vitamins.

They adjust to the temp swings as we do, they acclimate...suffer a bit at first, then adjust.
