Hey everyone, so my eggs are currently on day 10. They were all shipped to me and most had detached air cells. I've been incubating them in an egg carton, fat side up and a surprising number of them are showing life. I was wondering how to go about setting them up for lockdown when the time comes. Should I leave them in the egg cartons or take those out and lay them flat on the plastic tray of the incubator?

The chicks will probably have a difficult time hatching in an egg carton. Although eight chicks successfully hatched in my egg turner once but that was a 50% hatch rate. Leave them on the plastic tray and don't turn them unless one has pipped on the bottom. Eggs with detached air cells must be handled with extreme care. The eggs should turned very gently until day 18 and probably not as often.
