OK glad I asked!! Cus I was thinking since it was a male I could just put them together and they'd all get along and fall in loveI'd do it the same way as adding chicks or other hens. Put him in a pen next to them for about a week to get acquainted and then let them all out together and watch to make sure the hens aren't too mean to him. He will have to show them he's the new boss in the coop so if there's a bit of tussling around don't worry as long as nobody is getting injured.

I've never had a rooster so have no idea what to expect...this shall be interesting! lolHaha. Sadly chickens don't think like that. I wish they did though. Would make everything a lot easier.![]()

I was wondering if I should get a little cockerel and raise em up instead of full grown...but I don't wanna wait that long hahaha besides I plan on getting straight run chicks also and will probably get some roos in there anyway...just really want a rooster now to run with my girls
