How to Keep Chickens From being Bored

How do you compost the chicken manure with the compost the chickens dig through?

Chicky poo goes in the 2nd bin so its not going right to the garden but not getting eaten by chickens. It still has time to break down before going to planta![/QUOTE]
Do you mix anything in with the chicken poo in the 2nd bin?

OMG, scared of worms? That's something never heard of before! When I work in the garden I take a container with me and throw them to the hens and it's like a riot, they devour them! Maybe give them a little cooked spaghetti as a treat and they will get used to the shape. Worms are so good for them, and cuts down on feed cost. Chickens are so funny, aren't they? Who says they are dumb and have no personality? Each one is different with different behaviors, we enjoy the heck out of them, and now watching them trying to mingle with the ducks, is very entertaining. Who will win remains to be seen...

LOL, yea

tomatos are poisounous to chickens, just thought you may want to know.

See I've heard that too many tomatoes can affect their egg laying b/c of the acidity, but wasn't sure if that was a rumor or not. They can't be poisenous though b/c mine have had their share of tomatoes & they're fine as can be...they'd rather have watermelon and cantelope & pumpkin though.
