How to keep chicks from eating layer feed

How do I keep my 2 month old chickens from eating the layer feed when I introduce them to the hen house

The easiest solution to this problem is to feed all the birds grower ration and offer oyster shell on the side for the adult laying birds to take as needed/wanted. Grower feed will in no way harm your older birds while the same can't be said for layer feed and younger birds.
